This is a vintage Guatemalan handcrafted necklace. Various sizes of oxen teeth were woven together with colorful plastic coated nylon to construct this necklace. This necklace was obtained from an estate sale about 10 years ago where we were told the owners had been world travelers. The necklace does have a broken tooth which is pictured. It does not detract from this necklace. The overall length of the necklace is 29″ and it does not have a clasp, it slips over the head. There is large polished wood bead on the necklace which looks like the necklace could be adjusted down to a smaller length, maybe tied in the back. This is a very collectable and different piece.
