This hornet has a  2.75 inch wingspan and measures 1.85 inches from mandibles to the tip of the stinger!  This is the worlds largest hornet and it is extremely aggressive. This infamous Vespa Mandarinia japonica hornet is commonly known as the Murder Hornet. It can wipe out a honeybee hive in a matter of hours. The venom from this insect is extremely potent and has caused many human deaths in Japan. The venom is especially potent and contains an enzyme so strong that it can dissolve human tissue. Like all hornets this species has a barb less stinger, allowing it to sting repeatedly. These giant hornets are very hard to get.
