Chrysochroa bugueti rugicollis

$59.99

These wood boring beetles are a striking bright metallic iridescent purple and copper color on the head with more subtle iridescent purple coloring on the wing spots. The iridescent coloration in these beetles is structural which means microscopic variations in the surface skin of the beetle alter the reflection of light. Structural color is more stable and will not fade unlike regular pigment colors.
